I am a painter generally specialising in portraiture and paintings of animals and pets but also, occasionally, tackling other subjects.
I studied Fine Art as a student and have consistently used those skills in different ways, in my working life, from murals and paint effects to illustration and design.
I want my paintings to have a reality about them and capture something of the subject I am painting, but to remain paintings too, so although I work from photographs, I do not produce photo-realistic pieces. Brush marks, sketches, occasional drips etc.. are all in evidence.
My paintings were predominantly in oil paint but due to costs rising and income diminishing, most are now watercolours.

If my paintings or drawings appeal to you, I am undertaking commissions. My current pricing guide can be found here and is based on size so I can give you an estimate before we start.
Watercolours are not yet priced as I am uncertain how to charge for them so the prices may differe between paintings.
I work from photographs and, where possible, will always prefer to take my own for any commission whether it's a painting or drawing.
